So this is a piece from my Concentration AP portfolio. The instruction was to make a self portrait, and it didn't matter in what media... so I decided, "hey I've never used oil paints before... and lots of famous artists (correction: ALL ARTISTS) use it... so maybe I should give it a go"
Well it turned out it wasn't that easy... oils are quite exhausting to deal with, especially with all the extra goodies you need to use. Most of the time I was thinking, "why doesn't this bloody canvas dry?!"... and at times other than that, I was probably high from the fumes.
Anyway, here's me, face squished at the end of my convex mechanical pencil top. It was my somewhat lame attempt to bring out a bit of chiaroscuro...

This is a very quality painting. I've only used acrylics. I have oils, and all the supplies, I just never have time to get around to using them.
This turned out very nice. You're obviously very talented!

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
